Therapies Leading Care LLC is a Veteran-owned, premier outpatient PHYSICAL THERAPY practice in Columbus, GA. Our physical therapists, Dr. Stephen Herring, DPT, is a Board Certified Doctor of Physical Therapy licensed to practice in Georgia and Alabama. Dr. Herring brings over 10 years of experience in a variety of rehabilitation settings, collegiate athletics, and public health service as a Ready Reserve officer with the U.S. Public Health Services.

Therapies Leading Care endeavors to be the provider of choice in the VA Community Care Network system providing comprehensive physical therapy examination and treatment for patients of all ages. At Therapies Leading Care, it is our mission to promote and preserve the health and well-being of our patients by providing compassionate, comprehensive rehabilitation services delivered with relentless reliability and a strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction. Our focus is to serve those in the Columbus area with employment or sports related injuries, and pre- and post- operative conditions by providing the highest level of clinical care available, grounded in research and best practices, while maintaining the individualized attention that only a small private practice can provide.

In addition to physical therapy services, TLC offers functional capacity examinations for work compensation and/or disability claims. Therapies Leading Care LLC also collaborates with Orthotics & Prosthetics Solutions LLC, a certified prosthetics and orthotics company to provide tailored follow-on physical therapy treatment and care for prosthetics and orthotics patients (OPS is certified in the states of AL, MS, and LA. GA certification pending).

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

Physical therapy's strength and conditioning practices aim to improve patients' mobility, stability, strength, and endurance through individualized exercise programs and rehabilitation techniques.

FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY EVALUATION (FCE)

The FCE is a comprehensive assessment used to measure an individual's physical abilities in relation to the demands of specific work or daily activities. The purpose is to determine safe levels of function, guide rehabilitation, support return-to-work decisions, and assist in disability claims.

MANUAL THERAPY

Physical therapy's manual therapy involves hands-on techniques such as joint mobilization, massage, and stretching to reduce pain, improve range of motion, and promote healing of musculoskeletal conditions.

PRE & POST SURGICAL REHABILITATION

Current research shows therapy prior to surgery results in improved post-surgery recovery outcomes. Physical therapy's post-surgical rehabilitation practices aim to help patients recover after surgery by restoring range of motion, strength, and function while reducing pain and preventing complications involving individualized exercise programs.
